What Is ED&C?
Electrodessication and curettage (ED&C) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat select skin cancers and benign lesions. The lesion is gently scraped, followed by controlled electrical energy to destroy remaining abnormal cells.

What to Expect
ED&C is performed in the office under local anesthesia and typically does not require sutures. Healing occurs gradually over several weeks, and your provider will review wound care instructions and follow-up recommendations.
